The evolving landscape of perioperative medicine has dramatically increased the scope and complexity of anesthesia care. New techniques, new drugs, new evidence, quality and safety concerns all play a role in today’s practice environment. This conference will focus on areas of anesthetic care that require integrating these new aspects of medical care. Increasingly, we need to know not only whether techniques are effective, but also that they are high quality, safe, evidence-based, and cost effective.
