The goal of the CLIER CME Program is to promote the cause and to extend the knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology through the exchange of information related to this specialty of medicine. We provide an opportunity for the attendee to accrue CME credits in a familiar learning environment. We promote the exchange of information amongst physicians and related practitioners who provide health care to women in order to improve patient health.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
· State how to apply the reconceptualization of pain to the treatment of chronic pelvic pain;
· Describe a simple Energy Medicine Technique and its application to practice;
· Identify strategies to counsel women on gestational diabetes management guidelines;
· List two challenges of health care access encountered by women living in rural areas.
This activity is designed for specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, in particular those who received their residency or fellowship training at the University of Chicago, those who participated in training residents and fellows at the University of Chicago, and those in related professions such as nurse midwives, advanced practice nurses, and nurse practitioners and related fields such as pediatrics and family medicine. Colleagues who have received their training in women health at other institutions are also encouraged to attend.
